"And among His signs is this, that he created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell
in tranquillity with them, and he has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are signs for those who reflect."-
Surah 30: 21 Al Rum, the Holy Quran
"It may be that Allah will grant love(and friendship) between you and those whom ye (now) hold as
enemies. For Allah has power (Over all things); And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."- Surah 60: 7 Al Mumtahinah, the Holy Quran
The universal language of love transcends every cultural barrier including language,
education, and financial earnings. So much, virtually everyone around the world has at one time, related
the meaning of love to romantic interludes and even marraige. Surprisingly, throughout history love has also
evoke many great wars, defeated enemies, and extinguished evil. In fact, love has been titled the greatest tool used
to mend broken families, renew hardened hearts, and much more.
Seemingly for many, learning how to decipher what love truly means is quite difficult.
Especially in today's world, where love is often used to describe the way a person feels towards another. Although this
form of expression does not necessarily always equate to biblical meaning; it is still an excellent example
of love shared between human beings.
For some, love has become a tool of deception. Interestingly, some like to use the
word love to manipulate others. However, throughout the scriptures, you can find many different examples
of love woven within the wisdom of the scriptures. Despite our faults, throughout the scriptures,
God continued to demonstrate unconditional love towards every creature He created.
If you examine the beginning of biblical history and how God made the
first man- Adam- you discover that God awarded him a companion name Eve. Yet throughout biblical
history, some scholars have reported that Adam had another wife named Lilith.
In fact, in Jewish tradition, which is where she originated from, Lilith
is a female demon, enemy of infants, bride of the evil angel Sammael(Satan). Some believe she predated Eve, had marital relations
with Adam, and must be regarded as our first parent's 1st wife. According to Rabbi Eliezer (the Book of Adam and Eve),
Lilith bore Adam 100 children every day. In The Zohar (Leviticus 19a) describes Lilith as "a hot fiery female who at first
cohabited with man" but, when Eve was created, "flew to the cities of the sea coast," where she is still trying to ensnare
mankind.
Moreover, she is often identified with the screech owl written of in Isaiah
34:14. (The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr
shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.)
In the cabala she is the demon of Friday and is represented as a naked
woman whose body terminates on a serpent's tail. While commonly regarded as the creation of the rabbis of the early Middle
Ages(the first traceable mention of Lilith occurs in a 10th century folktale called the Alphabet of Ben Sira). She is
in fact drawn from the lili, female demonic spirits in Mesopotamian demonology, and known as ardat lili.
Interestingly, the Rabbis read Lilith into Scripture as the 1st temptress, as Adam's
demon wife, and as the mother of Cain. [Rf. Thompson, Semitic Magic; Christian, The History and Practice of Magic.]
Seemingly, in Talmudic lore, as also in the cabala (The Zohar), most demons
are mortal, but Lilith and two other nortorious female spirits of evil (Naamah and Agrat bat Mahlat) will "continue to exist
and plague man until the Messianic day, when God will finally extirpate uncleanliness and evil from the face of earth."
Surprisingly, in Scholem's article on one of the medieval writers in the magazine
Mada'e ha Yahadut (II, 164ff.), Lilith and Sammael are said to have "emanated from beneath the throne of Divine Glory, the
legs of which were somewhat shaken by their (joint) activity." However, it is known, of course, that Sammael(Satan) was once
a familiar figure in Heaven, but not that Lilith was up there also, assisting him. In fact, it is believed that
Lilith went by a score of other names, 17 of which she revealed to Elijah when she was forced to do so by the Old Testament
prophet.
The prophet Elijah, according to legend, encountered Lilith, forced her to reveal
the names she used in her various disguises when she worked her evil among mortals. Reluctantly, she confessed to at least 17
names, and they are recorded in M. Gaster, Studies and Texts in Folklore, on-pg.1025. They are:
1. Abeko 2. Abito 3. Amizo 4. Batna 5. Eilo 6. Its 7. Izorpo 8. Kali 9. Kea 10.Kokos 11. Lilith 12. Odam 13. Partasah
14. Patrota 15. Podo 16. Satrina 17. Talto
Nevertheless, even with these names no one has really discovered if this story has
much truth to it, if any at all. If you examine the book of Genesis, you will learn how God displayed
his love for Adam. By taking of Adams body to create a mate for him, Adam was given many blessings, despite
his punishment for allowing Eve to beguile him.
In fact, Adam was so loved by God, he was blessed to see nine hundred
and thirty years of life on earth. *Reference: Genesis 5:5 , the Holy Bible, KJV
Still the scriptures never provide a recording for the length of time
Eve existed. In fact, the scriptures only provide a brief synopsis of Eve's entire existence. So what happened to her? Why
doesn't the Bible have a recording of her life span?
However, researching Genesis thoroughly, you learn about Eve disobeying God,
and for doing so, she was handed a punishment that included long pangs of suffering during childbirth. Completely
opposite of Adam. Who, instead, was told to eat the plants of the field, and only by the sweat of his face could he get bread
to eat. Yet God's love for Adam outweighted this punishment. In fact, in Genesis you learn Adam was granted the
blessing of another child after Cain slew Abel.
Yet, when Cain was banished from his parents, only to wander the
earth to find his wife, the scriptures never give us detail as to where his wife came from. In fact, the scriptures
never enlighten us on any other human existence in the beginning of all mankind accept Adam and Eve , so was Cain's wife
a descendant of Lilith?
"Cain had relations with his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch, Cain also became the founder
of a city, which he named after his son Enoch."- Genesis 4:17 The New American Bible,
Catholic Version
Ironically, much of what we have been provided through historical doctrine surrounding
bibilical truth has been washed down with hearesay. So much, we are only gaining the information man felt we needed to
know. Honestly speaking, it seems as if we are only given information concening biblical truth on
a need-to-know-basis. But why are historians depriving mankind of its true history, especially surrounding biblical
wisdom?
Reviewing Genesis 4, where you learn how Cain killed Abel because he was
jealous of Abel's favor with God, you also discover how God spared Cain and granted him protection throughout the rest
of his days on earth, despite what he did to Abel. Since God knew everything before it happened, do you think God told Cain
to kill Abel?
"Since you have now banished me from the soil, and I must avoid your presence and become a restless
wanderer on the earth, anyone may kill me at sight." "Not so!" the Lord said to him. "If anyone kills Cain, Cain shall be
avenged sevenfold." So the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest anyone should kill him at sight. Cain left the Lord's presence and
settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden."- Genesis 4:14-16, the Holy Bible
KJV
Here you learn that God placed a mark on Cain. Is this the same mark
found in Revelations so many Bible followers classify: the mark of the beast? It is insightful knowledge like
this that makes the scriptures hold the greatest mysteries every known to mankind. With so many different versions and
religious sects to chose from, mankind has become a body of people desperately seeking truth, in a world covered
by darkness. A darkness that seems to have consumed our direction towards the light.
In fact, according to scripture, Eve bore Adam a son name Seth. And Seth's
wife bore him a son name Enosh. But, where did Seth's wife come from?
If there weren't people living today who have the passion and heart
to educate believers on biblical truth, the world would remain in darkness. By the grace of God, we can find solace in knowing,
it is through faith that we are saved, and by grace, we are forgiven. No longer do we need to brow-beat ourselves about
things we have done in the past. But so many of us do.
"For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning; that we should love one another. Not as
Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his
brother's righteous. Marvel not brethen , if the world hate you."- I John 3:11-13,
the Holy Bible, KJV
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God,
and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manisfested the love of God towards us,
because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved
God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."- I John 4: 7-10,
the Holy Bible, KJV
"If any man say, "I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother
whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"- I John 4:20, the Holy
Bible, KJV
Reading this reminds me of how often there are people who strive to hate
their fellow man without just cause. In fact, in many instances, many people hate others just because
they have the right to do so. Contrary to belief, when you hate someone you show your hate towards yourself;
and even God, because God made everything. In fact, the energy you invest in hating someone is actually pulling you down
and infecting your every loin.
Today, the poor are adamently against the rich, and vice-versa. The
straight are against the gay; blacks are against whites, Jews and Muslims are against Christians and so on. Yet
through it all , mankind is supposed to believe we are free. Not free from the wickedness of
mankind, but free to choose our right from wrongs. And it is this gift of freedom given to each of us through
birth, that we are to uplift one another and instill the right to love, without fear and or,
humiliation.
Even though we live in a country which has given us the
right to vote, the right to education, the right to elect our place of residence, the right to choose our mates, and
the right to live or die...we still have not completely come to understand the true essence of God's love. But
if we continue to walk ignorantly, our latter days will be much like our present days...still in search of answers...never
knowing the first clue. This is why it is written:
"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things
which are written therein: for the time is at hand."- Revelation 1:3, the Holy Bible,
KJV
