"God so loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, that everyone who has faith in
him may not die but have eternal life. It was not to judge the world that God sent his Son into the world, but that through
him the world might be saved."- Living Religions, Pg. 345, Mary P. Fisher
Lords- a celestial order of angels mentioned, along with cherubim, powers,
and thrones in the Apocalypse of the Holy Mother of God (in the Ante-Nicene Fathers Library) and in the Arkhangelike
of Moses. Furthermore, Lords may be also equated with principalities and virtues. Clement of Alexandria quotes from the
lost Apocalypse of Zephaniah: "And the spirit took me up and carried me into the fifth Heaven and I saw
angels called Lords and their diadem was lying in the Holy Spirit, and for each of them there was a throne seven times as
bright as the light of sun."- The Dictionary of Angels, Pg. 175
Coincidentally, in the book of Genesis, Enos was the first Lord. In fact,
the scripture below reads:
"And to Seth, to him also there was born a son and he called his name Enos: then began men
to call upon the name of the Lord."- Genesis 4:26, the Holy Bible, KJV
For centuries, one of the greatest debates to ever escalate between
religious orders evolved around the word- Lord. In the Holy Quran, Muslims recognize Allah as Lord. Although
the name is often crafted into various scriptures within the Holy Quran, many Muslims are adament that God is named Allah.
Yet when you examine scripture within the King James Version Holy Bible, you learn the term Lord or lord, is used
in various ways.
In fact, throughout the Old Testament, you can find many scriptures
that convey the term "lord". This usage convey's acknowledgment of a particular king or lordsmanship of a city. During
the Middle Ages, many people were considered lords. In fact, a great majority of kings were given the title "Lord" as a means
of respect. In some instances, throughout the Old Testament, you can read scriptures that also include Lord of
Host. The scripture below reads:
"For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel: the
Lord of Host is his name."- Isaiah 48:2, the Holy Bible, KJV
In fact, the usage of "Lord of Host" is so prevelant within the Old
Testament, it often conflicts with traditional Christian belief, especially when regarding the Lord Jesus
Christ. So much, when you begin studying the New Testament, such as Matthew and Mark, you learn about Christ becoming
Lord Jesus Christ. Moreover, it is written within the scriptures how people of biblical era acknowledged Jesus
as a God.
Jesus was not even born during the Old Testament, so why does the Old Testament
mention Lord throughout its pages? Surprsingly, some research suggest the New Testament had nothing to do with
the Bible at all. In early Catholic study, the Septuagint, which consist only of the Old Testemant,
was considered the only scriptural or, canonical book of law. And, it was the Christian church that implemented the New Testament.
In fact, some scholars have even confessed that its difficult to determine if any of the New Testament books are
true at all. Given the history of the books enveloped in the New Testament, it has been reported that those scribes were
written 100 years after Christ death. But even if we give this some thought, those who are accredited as authors of the
doctrine were of old age, not to mention, spoke Arabic and Greek. The idea of interpretation was lost centuries after the
first books were written. So how much of todays Bible's are actually true?
Some have even accused our government of playing mind games with religious
followers. With the assistance of satellites orbiting in space, it has been introuduced that our government has
been manipulating religious believer's minds, literally forcing them to act out events in an effort to
bring the scriptures to life. I personally believe the world is fighting with forces unknown to mankind, and these forces have
created a world of complete chaos. In fact, when you look at movies like Transformers...
Revenge of the Fallen, Angels and Demons, and even, Michael Jackson's
Thriller video, you get a story line surrounding the theory of fallen angels, who are seeking revenge on
mankind, and manipulating the way mankind thinks, acts, and preceives the things we do.
Contrary to most beliefs, people of Jewish decent commonly used the
name Lord as a way of acknowledging the Almighty God. Throughout the Old Testament, the name of God changes from the book
of Genesis into the book of Malachi; but no matter what, the Almighty is universally recognized as God. In
fact, when you begin to read the last book in the King James Bible- Revelation- you will find many scriptures that
instruct mankind to only worship God. Albeit, many Christians have been led to praise and worship Jesus as God, many
scriptures within the New Testament clarify this misconception.
In fact, Jesus himself declares his Father in Heaven is who mankind is to
worship and praise. However, with the continued revision of New Testament scriptures, these misunderstandings have been the
very basis of much of the confusion surrounding scriptural doctrine. Looking at the following scriptures below, you
clearly can read how Jesus acknowledges his father is in heaven.
"For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto
one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he deoth it."-
St.Luke 7:8, the Holy Bible, KJV
"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto his Son: that all men
should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father, He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent
him." - John 5:22 &23, the Holy Bible KJV
Furthermore, in this next scripture you learn how Jesus instructed
man to have faith in God.
"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God." -Mark 11:22, the Holy Bible, KJV
In the last scripture, it is written Jesus did not say have faith
in me, he said , "Have faith in God." In this following scripture, Jesus gives instruction declaring the doctrine
he brings is not his own, but the one who sent him.
"Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man
will do his will, he shall know the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."- John
7:16 & 17, the Holy Bible, KJV
So often, some of the greatest debates have been fueled by the acknowledgement
of name recogition amongst religious followers. At one time, I was curious about the Jehovah Witness. After hearing so many
negative things about the order, I was compelled to gain insight. While studying, I was confronted by a follower of the Witness,
about my acknowledgement of Jesus being God. The individual stopped me and corrected me. Dismayed as I was, I asked him
to give me verifiable reason why his theory was correct.
The gentleman was honored I'd asked and began giving me his educated guidance
on the separation between Jesus and the Almighty, who he classifies as JEHOVAH. He opened the scripture to Revelation
Nineteen, verses nine and ten. There it reads:
"And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper
of the lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he saith unto
me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethern that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God:
the for testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."- Revelation 19: 9 &10, the Holy Bible, KJV
Upon reading this, I was not convinced by his theory, after all, my minister
had given me many sermons on the fellowship of Christ being God. I dare not begin to question such teachings, especially teachings
provided by a Jehovah Witness. Nevertheless, as he continued to share his teaching, I began to learn more about the honor
of God and the name recognition.
Seemingly, in the book of John, Jesus declares his sole purpose here on
earth was to see the scriptures fulfilled.
"After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scriptures might
be fulfilled, saith, I thirst."- John 19: 28, the Holy Bible, KJV
And even then he pointed out another scripture supporting his
ideology.
"And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true; and he knoweth that he saith true,
that ye might believe. For these things were done, that the Scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken."-
John 19:35 &36, the Holy Bible, KJV
Then, I was guided to another scripture found in Acts, which
I found very disturbing. So much, I withdrew studying the scriptures with this indivdiual until I became more knowledgable
of what I was reading. But before doing so, he pointed out a few more scriptures to support his theory.
"And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in
the works of their own hands. Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book
of the prophets, O ye house of israel, have ye offered to me slain beast and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the
wilderness? Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, and figures which ye made to worship
them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon."- Acts 7: 41,42 & 43, the Holy Bible, KJV
Still not impressed with his instruction, I was then guided to Leviticus.
"Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither
shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God."- Leviticus
26:1, the Holy Bible, KJV
After reading this, he then led me to Psalms Eighty-Three, where
I was introduced to a scripture declaring JEHOVAH as the Most High.
"...that men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the Most High over all
the earth."- Psalms 83:18 , the Holy Bible, KJV
From this, he then concluded that the latter scripture shared was proof distinguishing
JEHOVAH was the Most High of all the earth. Yet he failed to give consideration to the lineage of biblical text and how often
each writer changed the name of God. From Genesis to Revelation, you find God called many names as mentioned previously. Despite
the titles, the Almighty remained the one source through the entire Bible which all mankind could turn to for
peace and deliverance in their time of trouble and sorrow.
No matter what man has done throughout history to distort the scribes, God
has always shown favor for man despite his so-called sinful ways. Although the destruction of mankind began
in the beginning of time, in Genesis Thirty-One, you can learn how an angel of God had the power to speak
to Jacob in a dream.
So often, angels were jealous of God's love for mankind because they felt
they were superior, and desired the same love from God which he had given unto man. In fact, in the
scripture below, you can read more about the power of angels.
"And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: and I said, Here am I. And
he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ring-streaked, speckled, and grizzled:
for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointest the pillar, and where thou
vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred." Genesis 31: 11, 12 & 13, the Holy Bible, KJV
Also in another scripture: Exodus Six, I personally discovered
a scripture which God acknowledges himself as JEHOVAH. Still, this did not convince me nor persuade me to convert to becoming
a Jehovah Witness.
"And God spoke to Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord: and I appeared unto Abraham, unto
Isaac, and unto Jacob, not by the name of God Almighty; but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them."- Exodus
6: 2 &3, the Holy Bible, KJV
Coincidentally, for many years Jewish people have acknolwdged God by the
pronunciation YWHW, or Yahweh, which is the "Supreme Male Deity." However, despite the continued name change, and many interpretational
meanings, God is acknowledged by various names as mentioned time-and-again. In fact, in the name JESUS, which means "God
saves", many people have found great comfort in believing that God has been gracious in fulfilling his promise
to mankind, by giving mankind another messenger to assure mankind that God's love is infinite.
And it is through our brother Jesus Christ that a new covenant was
established, which set all of mankind free.
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty where with Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled
again with the yoke of bondage."- Galatians 5:1, the Holy Bible, KJV
Yet today, so many people profess Christ as their savior, yet are so tangled by
spiritual bondage, they seem to have lost the essence of Jesus's true purpose for mankind. As this lesson began,
a quote was shared conveying Jesus purpose. Even the scripture below teaches us:
"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as
thyself."- Galatians 5:14, the Holy Bible, KJV
"For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased
God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."- I Corinthians 1: 21, the Holy Bible, KJV
Foolish as this sounds, many leaders in our modern world have taken
the craft of preaching and made themselves Kings, yet have left a burdensome level of irresponsible followers, who have become
more distant from walking in the ways of Godliness than our world has ever seen. So much, many of our youth today
no longer are given the spiritual guidance needed to become great leaders for tomorrow. Albeit there are
many great succesors who have overcome the pitfalls of destruction set in place by "evil" angels, through the wisdom
of biblical enlightenment; there are still an abundance of children born through these successors, who may
never come close to hearing or even reading knowledge of God; let alone, ever know the true essence of
loving or being loved, as God intended for all mankind to experience.
In fact, it is our continued ignorance as a people, who continues to
battle over what religious order is more knowledgable and true than another. As adults, we have a responsibility to make
our youth aware of their place in God's eye. Every child should know that they are loved by God. Every man and woman should
know that they are loved by God, despite the countless faults we "all" have.
"as it is written, there are none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth,
there is none that seeketh after God."- Romans 3:10 & 11, the Holy Bible,
KJV
The scriptures were not written as a means to cause war amongst us,
but to give us hope and encouragement to become more than we ever dreamed we'd become. That is why
God elected fishermen, shepards, and prisoners as his chosen messengers; to guide us and provide us an
example of the power we each posess. Through these different individual stories came a history which no man
can completely understand. Until we have overcome this world, we can only speculate what is to come. Our hopes of a after
life are guaranteed through every religious order, if only we believe.
"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the
Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."- I Corinthians 2: 13, the Holy
Bible, KJV
"For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth
he yet hope for?"- Romans 8: 24, the Holy Bible, KJV
"But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who
shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring
Christ again from the dead.)"- Romans 10: 6 &7, the Holy Bible, KJV
Therefore, before you can begin to point a finger at the faults of another,
correct yourself.
"For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence
the ignorance of foolish men: as free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as servants of God. Honor
all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king."- I Peter 2: 15, 16& 17, the Holy Bible, KJV
Jesus-regarded by Philo, Justin martyr, and early Christian writers as "a
leading angel" or archangel; also identified as the Logos or Word, and as such is said to have been one of the 3 angels that
visited Abraham under the oak of Mamre. Nevertheless, it is noted in the scriptures that John the Baptist was the greatest
of all prophets to come.
"Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater
than John the Baptist: notwithstanding, he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."- Matthew
11: 11, the Holy Bible, KJV
"For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than
John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."- Luke 7: 28,
the Holy Bible, KJV
John the Baptist- the "forerunner of angels", as mentioned in Exodus 23:20;
Malachi 3:1 ; and Matthew 11:10. "Behold I send an angel before thee, to keep thee in the way and to bring thee into
the place I have prepared." In the Zohar (Vayehi, 232a), Rabbi Judah declared: "this angel, this deliverer of the world, is
sometimes male, sometimes female."
When he procures blessings for the world, he is male, resembling the male
who provides blessings for the female. But when he comes to bring chastisement on the world, he is female, being as it were,
pregnant with the judgment. Many times Jesus speaks of "Helias the prophet" (meaning John The Baptist) and refers to the latter
angel sent by Satan to baptize with water. -Reference: The Dictionary of Angels
In the Holy Quran, John the Baptist is called "Yahya'". In the below scripture,
you see Jesus and Yahya given great ranking.
"And Zakariya and Yahya, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous."- Surah 6:85, the Holy Quran
"O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and we gave him wisdom even as a youth. And
pity (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity. He was devout, and kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or Rebellious.
So peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life again."- Surah 19: 12-15, the Holy Quran
Furthermore, in the New Testament, there is not much account on the ministry
of Jesus; however, what is described is the ministry of John the Baptist, a prophet citing Isaiah's prophecies of the coming
Kingdom of God. Often known for calling people to repent and be baptized, it was John the Baptist that baptized Jesus.
Therefore, in conclusion, although there is much confusion on who's
God is the greatest of all amongst religious followers, eac religion agree's-God is good. No matter what you call
"the Spirit", everyone can rest assure, we each have a day when we will be called up into the realms of
heaven and meet the Divine...only to be sent back to earth as an angel- to guide others', tempt others', and one
day... judge the living.
